I am nearly one month in my parents’ house. I was getting sick for almost two weeks, and hardly went out except for medication. I can say that I spent most of my time inside the house. I spent much time to get lay down, had a bed rest, and waited for the time when I could be fully fit again. Did I just do those things? Nope, instead I read books. I read at least four books, novels actually.
I read the Tetralogy of “Laskar Pelangi”. 4 novels, Laskar Pelangi, Sang Pemimpi, Edensor, and Maryamah Karpov. Those books were written by Andrea Hirata, my favorite writer. I love all of those books, I’ve read those books since I was in senior high school. I’ve never been bored with the stories. It’s all in the books, education, friendship, dreams, even love story. I am so inspired with the stories inside.
Now I read a novel, “Negeri van Oranje,” which I bought nearly a week ago. I am still in page 29, and I am not sure whether I will finish it next week or not, since I have many other things to do, beside reading the holy Qur’an as well.
It’s a long holiday, a perfect time to enjoy reading again. Many books are waiting to be read.
