This is one of the most important things in managing the library. Categorizing books needs a good concern. I went to the library this morning and tried to find books about Urban Design. I chose a correct way by not going to the urban design bookshelf section. I started from Landscape section. It was not surprising, as I expected that I might have found the book on a different section. Moreover, after searching the Urban Design bookshelf, I couldn’t find a book that I wanted.
Yes, it’s true that Urban Design relates to Landscape Architecture, and Architecture. But, if the librarian really concern about the books, they would’ve known that they could put the book on the right section. So, the students could find the right books on the right sections.
Seems like so selfish, but that’s the truth. We all need to find the books on the right sections.
